The Chapel of Saint-Cado
The former priory of Saint Cado
This Romanesque chapel was built on the island of Saint Cado in the 11th century.
It is listed as a Historic Monument. It was an ancient hermitage founded by Cadoc, a monk who came from Wales in the 6th century.

The Church of Saint-Goal
A hermitage turned church
In the heart of the Ria d'Étel, high above the Baie de Locoal, stands the church of Saint-Goal, built on the presumed site of its patron saint's hermitage. Transferred in 1037 to the Benedictines
of Redon Abbey, the monastery became a priory. A chapel was built in the 11th / 12th century. Over the centuries, the chapel underwent numerous alterations and became the parish church.
The Saint-Goal church in Locoal-Mendon is an architectural and historical landmark that will take you through centuries of history.
