Chapel Sainte-Avoye

Listed as a Historic Monument, this 16th century chapel century, located near the Sal river, is a jewel of the Renaissance. It has one of the rare preserved polychromatic chancel screens in Brittany. This wooden furniture is entirely carved and colored.

Guided tour of the Sainte-Anne-d'Auray's sanctuary 

Discovery tour of the largest pilgrimage site in Brittany. In Sainte-Anne-d´Auray, in the 17th century, a field has become a prestigious sanctuary composed of different monuments built over the centuries.

From the Chartreuses to the Champ-des-Martyrs

A commented walk of 3kms to discover the battle of Auray in 1364 and the landing of Quiberon in 1795, the old Carthusian monastery and the Champ-des-Martyrs. The visit does not include entry to the old monastery which is closed to the public in 2020.

Chapel Saint-Quirin

Listed as Historical Monument, the chapel Saint-Quirin dates from the  XVIIth century. Built in classical style, it houses one of the most beautiful altarpieces in Morbihan. This Lavallois altarpiece is remarkable for its beauty and for the rich materials that compose it : tuffeau, marble, terracotta statues. The healing fountain of the chapel makes it an important sanctuary.

Voix & piano, De la Grande à la Petite Bretagne 

The whole Mélisme (s), a professional chamber choir based in Brittany, presents an exciting program of sacred works from the 19th and 20th centuries. Some "hits" of choral music will be in the spotlight, such as the Canticle of Jean Racine by Gabriel Fauré, Ubi caritas by Maurice Duruflé and the sumptuous Dextera Domini by César Franck. The musicians will then celebrate the 100th anniversary of the death of Camille Saint-Saëns with two pieces (Ave Verum and Ave Maria). Finally, Mélisme (s) will make a nod to Brittany with Jésu dulcis memoria by composer Paul Le Flem and to Sainte-Anne-d'Auray, in particular with O salutaris by Richard Quesnel, former choirmaster of the Maîtrise .

Exhibition : "Esprits de faïence, Vierges et saints de Quimper"

This year, the Virgins and Saints in earthenware from Quimper are in the spotlight in the Cloître Gallery. Through a tour of 80 works, playful terminals and a documentary, come and discover the secrets of the making of this typically Breton art. Also not to be missed is the history of the site's collections presented in the permanent route and in the Treasury, where many ex-voto left by pilgrims are kept.

Helping souls to reach paradise by performing a Troménie, hanging beech branches on houses to ensure their protection, drinking water from sacred fountains to obtain healing ... So many surprising rites and beliefs but still alive in Brittany . This exhibition invites you to discover the survival of ancestral traditions, Christianized rites and popular beliefs.
